Rio Strada Racing, presented by www.JBL.com, is a Sacramento based racing team which has been in existence since the 1980s. In the early years, Rio Strada was primarily a CAT 1/2 powerhouse with riders who collectively placed in the top 6 of almost every race in Northern California. Notable past members included Mike Sayers, formerly of Health Net/Maxxis Pro Cycling Team and BMC Racing. Mike was one of the early leaders of Rio Strada Racing along with Sacramento’s own World Masters Track Champion Vince Gee. In more recent years the team has evolved into a more well rounded team including many CAT 3, 4, and 5 racers. Our team not only races on the Road and at Criterium Races, but also Cyclocross and Mountain Bike Races too.
