About the Race Series
Rio Strada Racing and Visit Rancho Cordova to Host the 22nd Annual Golden State Race Series
RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — April 30 to May 2, 2027 — Rio Strada Racing, in partnership with Visit Rancho Cordova, is proud to announce the 22nd Annual Golden State Race Series, in Rancho Cordova, California. Established as one of the premier cycling events in the region, the Golden State Race Series continues to attract top athletes and cycling enthusiasts from across California and beyond.
Recognized multiple times as the "Best Race in Northern California/Nevada," the Golden State Race Series draws more than 1,200+ USA Cycling racers and spectators annually. The event is proud to be the only race in California included in the USA Cycling Juniors Cup and Masters Cup series, and the 2027 edition will also be part of the NCNCA Women's Series.
This three-day event will feature a wide range of race categories, welcoming participants from Juniors as young as 10 years old to Master's and Elite riders. Many competitors include state, national, and world champions, making the Golden State Race Series a standout weekend of high-level competition.
In 2012, Rio Strada Racing was honored with an official proclamation from the City of Rancho Cordova in recognition of its longstanding contributions to competitive cycling and its commitment to promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
"The Golden State Race Series represents more than just competition — it is a celebration of community, athletic excellence, and the continued growth of cycling in our region," said Ron Rouse, President of Rio Strada Racing. "We are excited to once again welcome athletes and spectators for an unforgettable weekend of racing. This year, a portion of event proceeds will be donated in support of junior racers participating in the event."
The event is open to the public, offers a kids race on Day 2 and also on Day 3, and spectators are encouraged to attend and experience three days of exciting, high-level cycling competition in Rancho Cordova.
